English Translation for Ghazal

Your beauty has captured my heart so completely
Be happy, for neither of us will ever decline

It is inconceivable in imagination or reason
To find a more perfect example than you

My life's pleasure is gained from being with you
For with you, every day of my life is a reunion

When I am with you, a year is like a day
And when I am without you, a moment is like a year

When I see your face in a dream, my love
My eyes see nothing but that vision in my sleep

Have mercy on my heart, which has become weak from
your beauty As thin as a crescent moon

Hafez, do not complain if you desire your beloved’s union
For you must endure even more separation
