English Translation for Hekayat

Two types of people are enemies of the kingdom and religion: a king without forbearance and a devout man without knowledge.

May such a king not rule over the land,
Who is not an obedient servant of God.

متن حکایت

دو کس دشمن ملک و دینند: پادشاه بی حلم و زاهد بی علم.

بر سر ملک مباد آن ملک فرمانده

که خدا را نبود بندهٔ فرمانبردار
