English Translation for Hekayat

A kingdom gains beauty from wise counselors,
And religion achieves perfection through the devout.
Kings are more in need of the company of the wise
Than the wise are of closeness to kings.

O king, if you heed one piece of advice,
There is no counsel in the world better than this:
Entrust tasks only to the wise,
Though true wisdom rarely concerns itself with tasks.

This Hekayat emphasizes the importance of wisdom in governance and the greater need of rulers for the guidance of the wise than vice versa.
