English Translation for Ghazal

You who possess all that is desired in the world
Why do you have no concern for the state of the weak and helpless?

Take my life, heart, and soul,
for you have dominion over the free

You have no middle way, and it's strange that every hour
You play the middleman in the gathering of the beautiful

Your cheek's beauty has no worthy painting, since
You have a mole like a black mark on a violet

Drink wine to become light-hearted and delicate always
Especially when you have a heavy head

Don't reproach me any more, and don't be cruel to my heart
Don't do whatever you can, for you have the power

If you have a hundred thousand arrows of cruelty at your disposal
Aim them at my weary heart

Endure the constant cruelty of rivals and the envy of the envious
For it is easy if you have a kind beloved

If you get a moment of union with your friend
Go, for you have all that is desired in the world

Like a flower, I take my leave from this garden, Hafez
Why should I care about the lament and cry of the gardener?
